Norwich Union Direct Debits

I have my car insurance with Norwich Union and my direct debit is meant to be taken on the 28th of each month.
Decembers one was taken 9 Jan and Januarys one was taken 7th Feb, Surely if i agreed a date then that is when it should get taken, isn't it?
Bit annoying, thankfully i check to see if its been taken before thinking i've got more money then i should have.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Carrie.

Have you still got the agreement that says that it was definately going to be taken on the 28th of each month?
I would get in touch with them and tell them that you were told that it would be taken on that date each month and why hasnt it been. If you have been told that date then yes thats when it should be taken, your best thing is to get in touch with them and see what they sayWeight Loss - 102lb0 -

Ok, well even so if they said that they you can still tell them they entered into an agreement with you!
Let us know how you got on!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
The 9th of January may have been their first BACS run since the Christmas period .. maybe they were upgrading some systems and did not have a windown in which to do this before (possibly just running late, maybe system crashed etc.).
I am sure that they would have liked to take the January one on the 28th but possibly they delayed it because they had only taken one 19 days earlier and thought that customers would prefer this rather than pulling a second one out in quick succession. There may have been a lot of complaints if 2 came out in such quick succession. I think this is a case of you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Look on the bright side you managed to hang onto your money for a total of 3 weeks longer than you expected.
