dwp debt

a few years ago i had a work accident which lead to me getting a claim , anyway i didnt inform dwp so was still getting paid my income support/rent paid , naughty i know.
so they got in touch with me regarding this debt so i decided to make a repayment plan with them{against advice i was given},rather than face court etc.
so for last 3 years i have been paying them/council back.[£11,000] but i was recently made redundant so now this are a bit tight.
still owe dwp £10,000 but with my/my wives isa,s we could pay this off but not too sure where i would stand with dwp , as they might still prosecute which is what is worrying me so much as dont fancy doing time.
any advice where i can go from here.

I had this from overpaid jobseekers in 2007, but DWP didn't tell me until 2008 - "conflicting operational priorities" apparently.
I was able to pay it off at one go, but they do have a monthly scheme with fixed payments (and I mean fixed - I asked about the situation where I might have more money one month that I would want to use to pay them back, but I'd have to change the direct debit for that).0 -
started off with d/debit at £200 they then wanted it up so went to£225 anyway with everything else happening got it down to 175 but with me not workin was going to try reducing it or paying it off with my savings but wary off doing this only to face prosecution0

If you're unemployed, you're going to have to declare your savings anyway when you sign on.0 -

thats right b4 i got any of my claim they took their share of it , but it took over five more years of claiming i/support + carers allowance to build this debt up. my savings dont affect my new benefits claim as im a career again {careers allowance}+ my missus works full time.
i have no probs with paying this debt back but not if they are still going to prosecute me.0 -
