Hi All
Just wondered if you could help.
Grandad's just bought a new tower as his old one was dying a death. He's attached his old Digimate L-1715 LCD screen which is working fine...but no sound.
Have had a scout round the net for support etc but to no avail.
Any ideas??
Thanks!:T

Has he connected the separate audio cable to the correct output? It's usually colour-coded light green, but not always.
Is the sound output muted if you open the Volume Control application?
Does the sound device appear to be working normally if you look at it in Device Manager?0 -
check you have the drivers installed for the sound, had this problem myself with my new pc mid last year.0

I checked all the wires and they're all in the right place.
Device manager states no problems with any of the sound cards etc
Volume control is on ...not muted
Thing is, he doesn't know where the disc is for any drivers...or even if there ever was one;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)0 -
Have you opened the full Volume Control panel, rather than just the system tray output control? You need to check that the sources are not muted or at very low volume.0

Try downloading Filehippo driver checker, it checks the system and advises if the correct/current drivers are on the system and directs you to a link where they are available.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
