Cheap sheeting fabric wanted!

Help! I had a very frustrating shopping day yesterday. DH and I want some new bedding for our superking size bed and cushions.
Trapsed round we bought the local stores and could not find any duvet covers in the right size (regardless of pattern/colour) even annoyingly in the shop where we bought the bed in the first place
OK so we give up on the duvet set and try and buy some sheeting fabric for the cushions on our bed from the choice of two fabric shops near us - one which sells furnishing fabrics and the other mainly craft/dressmaking fabrics. Problem - why is it only available in white/pale blue and if your lucky navy
We need something to go with lilac and deep purple in a sheeting weight (not necessarily width) and most sheeting these days is polycotton so you can't dye it to a deep even colour
Anyone know where I can buy this kind of thing online/mail order and not have to spend a ridiculous amount per metre?

You could try Croft Mill. They do sheeting and loads of other fabrics by mail order. They have a website but no online ordering, but you can order a catalogue from there I think https://www.croftmill.co.uk
I've never bought sheeting from them but have bought other stuff. If you give them a ring the ladies on the phones are really helpful.
Hope this helps. FF0 -
I also have a superkingsize bed and get all my bedding in the sales from Debenhams as they stock several designs and colours suitable for this size bed, plus for deep matteresses too0

Not sure about sheeting but this site does very reasonable bedding

Thanks Bizzy - It looks like a good site but still not in the colours I'm after - hope it helps someone though - maybe I will splash out on the pure cotton ones and a box of dye :rolleyes:0 -
The canny shoppers on the I Wanna Board ought to be able to help you here and so I shall move this post across there for you

I buy our super kingsize sheets/quilts/duvet covers from either M&S or John Lewis. Both do mail order but JL have the biggest range of colours. HTH0

Have you tried searching on eBay? There's so much choice - I often use it when I want fabrics.
Here is one for lilac sheeting fabric for example. (This is not my auction by the way!!)'Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.'0
