Hi,
I have a weird looking email this morning purportedly from Zone Alarm - in the subject line it says "security alert Waledac Botnet" - not sure if this is genuine - I haven't opened it yet as the subject seems so strange - just wondering whether anyone else received this - should I open it?!?
Many thanks.

I got one of these as well. I'm fairly certain it was genuinely from ZA (I'm on their mailing list). But I deleted it without reading it in detail. I uninstalled their product since all that trouble with it clashing with... can't remember what it clashed with. Won't touch them again.0

Ignore it, it's just a sales email for their forcefield software, I got one too.0

I got the email too. I did open it, and found out about the "waledac botnet" that zonealarm want to sale to get rid of this. Google had lots of links about this "Holiday Greetings" email that is sent out and what happens to anyone when they open this email. I ran a find in my registry and did find the Waledac botnet, there and deleted it. This appears to be not only a sales pitch but a threat as well. There are some links that want to install a Trojan by running a "Faker.a" so that it can install. It was at; 2009021914.baeeeh.bee.pl/waledac_botnet.html
but has changed to; http://home6scan.com. So beware. :mad:0
