in Credit cards
Hi
Great advise on the forum, hope someone can help with this one. Our mortgage is with CandG/Lloyds. Last October we changed banks, notified our lenders, we found no payment was made so contacted them and had the details reupdated. We were then contacted on 6th Nov last year as two payments were required, we made a debit card payment and spoke to a more senior person at our lenders and finally got our details changed. However, despite this payment being made, we have written to our lenders along with copy statements showing the payment - they however, can find no trace of it. It is all being looked into, but in the meantime we are now being refused for credit cards and having our credit dropped from £3000 to £200 on existing cards. Has anyone else experienced this? In the short term we need a 0% interest card, but what can we also do about our credit rating as we are showing as being in arrears with our mortgage.
Your hopefully

Christ, what a scenario. Make sure you get compensation from your mortgage provider, and make sure they undo the chaos they've caused on your credit rating.
I can't offer you any specific advice though regarding 0% deals for slightly dodgy credit ratings, however temporary. Good luck with it all.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
