when a company trains you up for work ...

should they pay you for this..? this relates to working with the elderly as a carer. thanks

    Just to clarify - are you asking if you should get more money now you have completed your employer's training?

    I read it as, "they are training me to do my job, do they have to pay me during this training".

    The answer (as usual) is what was agreed in your contract and offer letter?

    Its usual to pay someone for training if its "wholly and necassary" to do the job.
