I've just put some things on ebay to sell for the first time (only had an account for a year lol). So far I have one bid, one item with two people watching and one item with one person watching....I think its going well as I only put them on yesterday...but its bids that count so I'll just have to wait and see.
Any profit I make will be going into my holiday savings account.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
I use it to pay for my college education and to get one weeks holiday every year now for me and my partner ( we had not been on holiday for 7 years until last year ). It also pays £200 a month to a loan.After that lot its all gone.
If it wasnt for ebay I would not be able to do my degree course next year in counselling ( I have to pay the fees- this year for my HNC I had the fees piad but no student grant ) - so Im going to be working like mad after summer- wrapping & listing! ( No holiday next year !) This way it also means I have one day a week to do volunteer work - so I wish the non- payers, scammers etc would take note that by ripping me off it has a serioius effect on other people. Not something most of them consider.0 -
At the moment all my profits go into new stock to expand my range of selling lines, I sell DVDs so theres lots of areas to expand too.
I don't have an debts as such, I spend many years saving in my early 20s so I am working in credit all the time so thats a big advantage to me I feel.
My longer term goal is for ebay to become my full time income, holidays, car......the skys the limit!0 -

I am a very Jewish gentile: any profits my businesses make are ploughed back into the businesses.Small change can often be found under seat cushions.

I tend to spend most of it on eBay! If there's anything left, I pay it towards my credit card. I am trying very hard not to fall into the trap of relying on eBay income, because it's unpredictable. I occasionally sell on my son's behalf (outgrown clothes, toys etc), and we have an arrangement that any outgrown school clothes sales go towards purchases of new school clothes, whereas he gets all the profits from sales of other items of his, while I do all the work, which is fair enough I think!0
