N power and pre payment electric key.

Hi All MSE's

I swtiched to N power for gas and electric and while the gas pre payment card was sent pretty quick I am still waiting for an N power pre payment electric key. We have been supplied electric by N power since the 27th of Jan. I have spoke to N power 4 times now to chase my key and I seem to be getting the run around.

First time I rang they asked for a meter reading which I did and they said thats great and the key is on its way.

When I never recieved the key after 10 days I Rang them again, This time the chap on the phone said the key had been requested and should be with us with in 5 days.

When the key again failed to show up, I rang again saying I was getting a little annoyed that I was being told one thing and another thing was happening ( or was not happening in this case ) The lady on the phone said " We will get a key sent out priority to me " she also said the key will be with you by 5 o'clock last friday.

Got Home from work on Friday and No key.
So I rang N power again and spoke with another lady who then put the blame on Royal mail. I stated that Royal mail may not be the best company in the world but I find it hard to believe that they have lost 4 electric keys.

She then went on to tell me that she could give me a pin number that would change my current Southern energy key to an N power key at any paypoint.
My reply was no, and by asking me to do that you were infact asking me to do a job that I am paying your company for.
I also asked how do you receive payment for the electric when I am still using a southern energy key. She said they would be billing southern for electric used.
I said great but N power was cheaper than southern and I want to make sure that my saving's are passed on to me. She had no comment to make.

Anyone else had this problem with N power ???
Why do people feel the need to keep up with the Jones's ?? Why do some people feel the need to out do there friends and family ?? is this real happiness ??

    I would think there was a problem somewhere in their systems. If I was you I would take up the option of collecting a key. At BG in this situation we would advise the customer that they need to pay £8 but this will be put on the key. Sounds like a lot less hassle in my mind especially if you want to quickly be billed correctly.

    Thanks for your advice there.

    I will give N power a ring and ask if I would be able to pic a key up in person then. Hey I may even follow that with a complaint. :D
    Why do people feel the need to keep up with the Jones's ?? Why do some people feel the need to out do there friends and family ?? is this real happiness ??
