Getting stuffed on LPG

Can anyone help, I live in Scottish Borders TD3 and our village is not on mains gas. We have an LPG tank and have to pay monthly according to usage, last month we got billed £236 for one month!!!!

Utility comparison sites do not have LPG suppliers listed we are currently with BP.

Don't know if this is relevant, I am married with 2 boys; aged 4 and 2 and we are on full Working Familes Tax Credit, I have been running my own business for 18months and money is tight. Please can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to MSE. First off can I ask you to email abuse@moneysavingexpert and they will change your user name for you as its not a good idea to have your email address on show in the forums. Spammers, unfortunately, can and do gather up emails from forums like this.

I too, have no mains gas and am reliant on LPG but bottles only as I live in a terraced cottage and can't have a tank. Have you checked out any other suppliers via say the Yellow Pages?

Thanks for the tip, so many sites and they all want user names and passowrds it is difficult to remember them all. It would be good to have e-mail as user name but a site name is automatically displayed on screen, like you have edinburghlass.

Will try phone book for suppliers.
