I have noticed that Egg are still offering 4% on positve balances. Would it be wise to move say £10,000 from a Smile savings account at 0.5%?. Is it a safe option if say the card is lost or stolen

At first sight it looks good.
I have not read the small print.
Is anything "Safe"?...............................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
It is as safe as any other card saving account.
For what its worth I have a 6.5% savings account with egg which is guarenteed till 30th September this year.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
Many thanks for the comments. Think I will call Egg and look at small print, but you have certainly answered the point. Many thanks again0

Also another 'benefit' of positive balance is the availability to withdraw up to £500 per day from atm's without a fee being charged.0

There are issues surrounding having a positive balance on a credit card..... i cant remember what those are.... is i something to do with purchases over 100 quid not being covered by CCA... or something to do with being covered for fraud/withdrawals if you card is lost or stolen?0
