I wanna glue that will stick together a ceramic tap that has broken into two pieces

I have a ceramic tap, which was on a washbasin, but is now in two pieces. Does anyone know of any glue that will stick this back together as so that it makes a robust repair. Super glue doesn't seem to work. The glue needs to work in damp conditions, obviously.

Thanks for your help.

Instead of glue, try metal cement / metal epoxy. it can be used in damp conditions and sets hard as metal! I use it in model making, but also have made a replica princess leia bikini out of the stuff and its strong and easy to work with :) It sets in about 20 minutes and is great for stuff around the home. A little pricey at about £3 but if youre lucky you can pick it up in the pound shop sometimes :)

Genuine Araldite epoxy resin would be your best bet. It states that it bonds ceramics but your problem is that you have already tried superglue! If you had used Araldite the first time, you may have stood a chance of a good bond but now you would have to remove all traces of the superglue.

I have tried various epoxy resins sold in £ shops and found them to be useless in comparison to genuine Araldite when it comes to bond strength.

    ;)
