Mortagage application and temp contracts

Scenario:
Wish to buy £190k house
Have £84k to put down
My income is £21.5k permanent job
My girlfriend's is £11k BUT her work as a Teaching Asst is temp contracts

Will the fact that she doesn't have a permanent job affect the application?

Thanks
Matt

Unfortunately, I think it will be the income itself rather than the permanent job that will affect it.

You have a 50%+ deposit, which is great, but I can't see many mortgage lenders being prepared to lend more than 2.5x joint income, which would only give you £81k.

Assuming no other debts and a good credit history, you should be able to get a mortgage agreed, and at the best rates as well.
