Invalid chargeback, now in neg balance.Have to pay back before I buy anything.Help plz

HI,
As per a previous thread I have had an invalid chargeback. I sent them the tracking details 2 weeks ago, but they have yet to do anything. I phoned this morning, and they said that they will email me in the next 24 hours with an update.
However, I also have a 10% voucher which expires today. So I just bought an expensive item, but I cannot pay for it without cancelling my negative balance (£350 odd). I don’t want to do it, but I can live with this for now. But it says that “Resolving your negative balance with a debit or credit card will be charged as a cash advance transaction, which may result in additional fees charged to your card account.”

So can somebody please advise what I should do?

Thanks
Be nice

  • Risk the credit card fees... or kiss the voucher goodbye by waiting.
    Can't really win.

I wonder if my credit card company will protect me if I phone them and explain the situation

  • If you're due to pay a fee on a cash advance, I can't see them waiving it.

    Ok, here is a first.
Paypal have told me that I can pay the balance off with my credit card, and then buy my item. I can then contact paypal who will refund the oustanding balance (the disputed amount) back onto my card :)
However, when I go to pay for the ebay item it says I must clear the balance.
So I go to the next page and it says my balance is £0.00
So on the next page I get to clear the debt, but it thinks that I dont have any debt. What is all that about. So even if I enter £1, it tells me that I am trying to repay more than my debt and will not allow it.
Yet if I look in my account I am clearly £300 odd in the red.

This is barmy and I cant fix it
