I was thinking of upgrading my Virgin cable package to include the Virgin Media V+ box so that I could watch the (few) BBC HD programmes.
However the Sunday Times "In Gear" section this week says that there is an upgraded box promised for the Spring.
Does anyone know anything about this upgrade, is it worth waiting for?

Even if they do upgrade the box in spring you'll get whats on the installers van, and he'll get whats in the depot. You've no guarantee you'll get a specific make or model of box.0

If you want HD content then you'll be better off going to Sky. The BBC HD Channel is regulary running repeats and very little of interest otherwise. What makes up for it in my experience is the library of content on On Demand and the upscaling ability of the box itself. Would I have paid for it if it wasn't given to me for free by Virgin, no.0

I recently had my box replaced and did ask about this, as far as he was aware there where no changes, but did promise ITV HD will be along soon(tm).0
