home and buildings insurance

i am currently insured by loyds tsb. i want to look around for a cheaper premium. current insurers has the rebuilding cost of my house as unlimited so i dont know how much it will cost to rebuilt it. does anyone know any cheaper yet offering good cover insurers?

Have you tried using confused.com. You only need to type in the information once and it will search for the cheapest quotes. Not sure how many it searches but it far more than most people would normally check on there own.

another good site is: moneysupermarket.com. I found them very good. Although I haven't taken out any of the policies yet, it looks like i'm going to save £35 a month on life / buildings / payment protection insurances.....

(I think the rebuild cost of your house is usually about 2/3 of the selling price, don't quote me on this. The rebuild cost will hopefully be on the survey / valuation report from your lender)
