Capital one agrees to pay only £90

Hi

I just wanted to know. I went through the website in order to claim back my credit card fees from Capital one. I had two accounts with them and the total charges came to £294.00. The normal rate and the amount they were charging was a difference of £8. Capital one agreed to this and is offering to pay the difference in total coming to £84 on both accounts only.

I just wanted to know if you think I should accept this. Also can I asked them to give the interest from each £8?

any helps and hints would be useful thanks

  • It depends on how determined you are! Do you believe what you are doing is right/legal? You've gone down this road and had partial success so are you strong enough to go to the end whatever the outcome?

There is no such thing as a 100% certainty this like everything else we do is a risk/gamble.

I asked for £565 from MBNA and was offered £130. I sent a third letter and got the other £435.

thanks for your advice much appreciated. I claimed for nealry £250 and they gave me just £90 as a jesture of goodwill which was not nice to say. Eventhough they admitted it was suppose to be £12 and they charged higher. I did not even ask for interest but did you also claim for interest for yours?

I will try once again see what they say.thanks

  • Yes, interest was included in the £565.
