Anyone had a UPS or Parcelforce collection over the last few days?

  • Well I am using Interparcel Aka DHL. I supposed to have a collection yesterday but no show due to weather. It's been rebooked for today but as the snow is bad in Milton Keynes I expect a no show today.

I've got quite a pile building up now, do you suppose they'll work over the weekend to clear the backlog?

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I posted separately on this site, but I have been waiting for a delivery from Parcelforce which was sent recorded delivery on 27th January, on entering the tracking id, I am just getting an error and told to contact them via email. No response so far.

EDIT: my delivery was 1st class recorded - Doh!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

i have no idea. you'd think the sensible thing to do would be to collect/deliver non saturday items on saturday if they were able to. i did receive an item from parcelforce on saturday morning that was a parcelforce 48 item posted on friday, normally it would not have been received until tuesday. although that was before the snow had started.

No, because their overall volumes are low it won't be any dramas for them next week. A few more @home deliveries may get delivered on saturday, but that's it.

For us DHL through SaleTrack have collected everyday this week (the joys of having a set collection time) and looking at our dispatch history 90% have been delivered next day and they were on 48hr services. The ones that haven't only failed becasue 'consignee unavailable'.

In times like this having a direct account or sub account is very benificial as if the drivers have prioritise collections that's who they'll pick to do.

I've given up on ever seeing UPS again, so I went to the post office instead, only to discover that they'd closed due to it possibly being cold overnight!

    Slackers!!!
