Hey people,
I am in dire need of help, I need to pass my driving test by September this year. I have done about 15 lessons, however this was some 8 months ago. I am looking for a good cheap intensive/residential course. Any one got any ideas....i will probably need about 25 lessons I would expect seeing as I am quite confident driving.
Should I do residential? or just a intensive and travel there? All help is appreciated, I live in West London if that helps!!
Thanks a lot

Hi, I was considering doing an intensive driving course a few months ago, but decided against it in the end as I felt it would be too much pressure and I would feel really bad if I failed. I didn't think I'd be able to handle five to six hours tuition a day over five days!
I was considering the residential course as I thought I would have less distractions if I stayed away from home, but obviously that bumps the price up as you have to pay for a room and lunch and dinner each day.
Whoever you ask regarding this, some will say it's a great idea, while others will say intensive courses teach you how to pass the practical test, but not how to drive properly, so you may be at a disadvantage to people who learned over a period of months/years.
I'm not trying to put you off the intensive route, but just trying to get you to think how you will get on and if it's the best choice for you.
The option I have gone for is to let my boyfriend teach me to drive (he's got patience and knowledge of instructing from previous work.) My Mum also gave me her old car, so I have lessons in my own car. I realise it may take many months before I can put in for my test, but this is the way I feel most comfortable with, after having three professional instructors and not getting anywhere near test standard!
Good luck and please let us know what you decide to do!0 -
I don't think you'll need an intensive driving course unless you're one of those people who just can't pick it up bery easily. Go for an experienced instructor and do 2+ hours a week. That will be pretty intensive!0

Bear it mind you might not get a test booking straight away, alot of the test centres are booked up for 4/6 in advance.
Have you passed your theory? If not, get that done and out of the way!0
