Harris Tweed wanted

I have a friend in the USA who makes patchwork quilts for charity using Harris Tweed. Does anyone know where I can get it cheap? it doesn't matter if it is an old jacket with holes in it as she cuts it down into small pieces. They are too expensive on EBay, I think people are buying it to wear as it is good condition.

I would put the word around all your local charity shops and ask them to save anything they were thinking of throwing out! (You might even persuade them to telephone you if they get anything in)

You will need to chat up shop workers individually tho' - remember 99% are volunteers and probably only do 1 or 2 half days a week...
