Hi
Just wondering anyont can help me I just got a call from one of my credit card company regrading a late payment tonight. Now they have charged me £12 for none payment I tried to get the over see it with no luck because it not a bank error.
The problem is
I have been having major problem with new postman he has posted our letters in the wrong house in the other st as he tends to look at the number then the address the people in the house have brought some of the mail around but i know we lost a good amount.
Have i got any chance of claiming this charge from the post office as I feel it unfair that i should have to pay it.
Thanks in advance

You should have realised that you did not receive the monthly statement and contated your CC company to ask what was owed and by when. You could contact the CC company and ask for it to be refunded if you set up a direct debit for the minimum amount0

You should know when your payment is due each month. Now you haven't just got a £12 fee, but I'd imagine this has hit your credit history pretty badly?0

can you get internet access to your credit card.. most provide this facility.0

try the bank one more time...sometimes they will forgive the first charge.
If you have had charges before I dont think you will get anywhere.
Good luck!0 -

No its not. Late payments usually dont show up at all, its missed payments that make a dent, but even then its not the end of the world.
This is another reason why immediatly setting up a DD for at least the minimum payment is always a good idea.0 -

That would depend on how late the payment was0
