Hello everyone and welcome to yet another diary! :hello:
Gosh, I have butterflies as I type this!
I have decided to start a diary after reading so many inspirational ones (notably Piq's and KTJazz's) I love MSE and particularly the "what small" thread, so many wonderful people...sophiesmum, piq, kt, andan, fay, cassey, PipsMum, hamster, mickey mouse, tallie and so so many more. Thank you so much!
Anywoo, an introduction. I'm 24 and live with my OH in a 3 bed terrace we bought at the very peak of house prices in 2007!:o Ah, the benefit of hindsight! My debt history begun at Uni in my second year (5 years ago) when I opened my first O/D...and I can remember thinking, 'right that it, debt for life!' Well hopefully not, thanks to MSE! I have made a lot of mistakes with cosolidation loans and general hedonism! However, I'm now settled with OH and am very happy. We classify all our debts as joint.
Two very important things to mention at this point
1) I'm getting married! I'll be writing lots about this but as an overview...we are getting married on 05/09/09 after OH proposed last summer. He sold his snazzy car to pay £1000 depoist to the venue (lovely place where both the ceremony and reception will be held) My mum and dad are very kindly giving us £4000
and after paying out for a MSE honeymoon we aim to have £1000 saved up (currently £800) We also have a savings pot and have approximately £500 in there...3/4 full!
2)I'm going back to Uni! Three weeks after the wedding I will be going to the local uni to do a MA. This will give me the qualification needed for my work. I will get a grant plus an incentive from my current employer. Looking forward to it but not to the reduced income!
So that's it in a nutshell. Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading and love to all! I'll post SOA soon

Couple of points to mention:- Recently changed energy, mobile, home phone and broadband suppliers/contracts. Have made big savings over the past couple of months
- Mortgage deal finishes in May
- Holiday payments...mum and dad are going away in the summer and the whole family are joining them for a week! The savings are for the next four months only and we only have to pay for flights.
Love
