DHL / Parcel2Go Lost Parcel ????

hello

I had a parcel picked up by Parcel2Go (DHL).
It was a new PS3 console and was sent by DHL Express UK Delivery
It tracked being collected, then checked, and then departing the depot the same day. This was all 9/10 days ago and nothing has tracked since. Ive been contacting all the DHL hubs and depots it could be at and no luck. I've contacted Parcel2Go serveral times and after some very vage and unhelpful online chats and phonecalls it keeps coming back to "oh, we don't know we'll have to send you a claim form". They claim they contacted DHL and got no news but when i called DHL they said there was nothing at all on the easyview or something or other system to show they had been contacted regarding this parcel.

All I want to know is have i been ripped off, it had standard cover (£50). How can a parcel be lost after it's left the depot ?? Also is there anychance of it still being delivered. ( After all the conversations with parcel2go & DHL i know something doesn't add up somewhere, I just cant work it out).

Thanks In Advance!

  • In over 3000 parcels sent we have yet to had to make a claim with DHL (touch wood). But they have been miss-routed, delayed and temporally lost.

When you contact DHL they should do a trace on it, which basically means they will get all the depots to search for it (normally takes a couple of days). Occasionally they end up at completely the wrong depot on the otherside of the country. One possibility is the label could of come off, I know with p2go you have to stick one on, if it had come off is there anyway of identifyung the sender/receiver?

I think you can innitiate the claim (of which you only have 'X' amount of days to do) with DHL, but only p2go can payout as it's their account. I also think £100 is inlcuded on all DHL shipments but p2go only include up to £50 to make it into a revenue streem.

Your best hope is that is stuck at a depot somewhere, keep pestering DHL, when you speak to them get a name, tell them to call you back etc.

Then if needs be speak to p2go, ditch the terrible live help and ring them first thing. If you have to make a claim, push for the £100 (not 100% on that though).
