moving to BT, instaltion question

ok, at the moment with Virgin, but this week we can give "30 days notice" to leave, so going to do just that (if they don`t do us a good deal) but wondering the last people who lived here had BT, the outside box is at the front, but we want the socket at the back of the house. will they put the socket where WE want, as our neighbours both have the phone socket in the hallway, which is no good with BB as one comp is in the living room and another is in the bedroom (both at the back) there was a wire at the back of the house, but when BT rewired the area they removed them as we "wasn`t a customer so didn`t need them" any help gratefull Thanks.

BT will put their socket anywhere within reason, if you pay the full installation charge.

You will need to tell the advisor when placing your order that you want a new line located in a new place in the premises. If not Openreach will check records an reconnect the existing line without coming doing a full line provide.
