The ONLY decent Chinese restaurant in Coventry is the Wing Wah buffet at the old Phoenix pub on the Highway.

    (That's my opinion anyway!!!)

    No NO No NO.

If you're going for a decent chinese, you HAVE to go to The Emperors in Leamington. Pricey (especially if a student), but very worth it. Far superior to Wing Wah. You actually get a menu! It is so good, I'm unsure if you'll get a valentines day booking now, this close as you usually have to book about 3 weeks in advance for a friday/saturday night.

Do you know anything about the bottom of the Parade in Leam? Emperors is behind Comet/Michaels supermarket (yes the supermarket with the famous bearded lady...)

Failing that, the Golden Dragon on the Parade is okay, bit cheaper, not as good, but still better than Wing Wah.

A good pasta/pizza place is Piccolinos, again in Leam.

Still haven't found anywhere decent for food other than curry to eat in Cov!

See, now why didnt you post this 24 hours earlier?! lol.

Already booked at Wing Wah, have heard good things about another restaurant in the company as well. Will give it a try and let people know what its like!

I also know where it is, which is always good!

If I were you, I'd see if I can get a table at the Emperors. If you can, cancel Wing Wah.

The Emperors is REALLY special...Wing Wah has got okay food, nice atmosphere, but reminds me very much of a butlins restaurant. Functional, not pretty. But can be amusing if there's a birthday,as they stick on the song and bring out a pineapple with a sparkler!

And I'll give you better directions to find Emperors if you can get a table!
