Hi plim, basically you complete the forms (lots of pages!) and call the court and either book a date to turn up and go BR or find out if they offer a drop in service in which case you just go on the day that you choose.
Until the date you go BR your creditors will still hassle you and after BR it will take a while for the message to get through that you are now BR.
Have you had the chance to get advice from one of the debt charities? National Debtline, CAB and CCCS are a good place to start and the numbers are in the sticky at the top of the forum.

Hi and welcome,
You need to talk to one of the debt charities listed in my sig. There are also some more numbers in the Bankruptcy Help sticky. They will go through all your options with you, if they suggest that BR is an option then we will help and support you as much as we can. You also need to do this as if you do go BR then the judge may ask if you have taken advice and can delay your BR until you do.
You fill in the forms, these can be downloaded or sent from the local county court. You make an appointment at the court. You turn up with your £495 and forms. These are checked over, they are stamped and signed by a judge and you are BR.
The above is obviously a potted version but that is it in a nutshell.
Your creditors can hassle you up to your BR but if they hassle you afterwards they are breaking the law.
If you read through the Bankruptcy Help sticky there is a lot of useful info there. Read as many threads as you can and ask any questions you need.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
