Vista Fax Function

Does anyone know of a way of sending Faxes from Vista Home Premium? Preferably simple and free!

press the windows(start) button, type fax and check out what comes up in the space above

Thank you for your suggestion. I did as you asked and it seems that this version of Vista does not have a fax capability. Are there any free programs out there that might work instead?

you can download software... may cost upto £30.... but it's prob worth it if there's no other option!!

is it a total pc based fax function you are after?, there are internet based ones you can google but not sure of the cost etc.
Does your machine have a device called a modem in it? look in device manager if so you should have been supplied with a disk containing fax software but i'm sure there will be ones available on-line.
Any modem purchased now(check it's vista compatible) will probably come with free software to do this as do some high end all in one printers which contain modems built in.
if this isn't enough, a bit more info on your plans to use the fax service would be helpful to point you in right direction
