help with cartridge ?

Hi
I have an epson stylus DX4000 printer/scanner and no idea how to remove the cartridge. Its been a few yrs since i last used it. Iv had the thing turned upside down ect and then remembered to life the lid bit on the top but the big black thing which i think holds the ink wont move, its budged to the side and i dont want to force it, any help appreciated, thank you.

Found the ink thingy, spent 28 quid buying a refill then sat all night trying to get it to work, it scans but it wont print, keeps giving me a error message saying there's an error! Iv looked at the site again which you recommended to me and that says it doesn't support vista, but there's a download for vista. which iv done, but proberly downloaded the wrong one because i still cant get it to print, anyone spare 5 mins and let me know how to do it?
