wont let me burn to cd

Hi, i recently had my pc reformatted, everything ok now apart from its now saying i haven't got a cd burner ( re-writer)

it lets me rip mucis etc from cd's but when i go to burn stuff to disc its saying connect burner and start burn...i'm not sure whats happened

I guess you're using Windows of some sort?

Have you looked in Device Manager to see if the CD drive is present and working normally or showing an error nember?
