Earning Virgin Flying Club Miles & other mile earning schemes

I'm looking to buy a couple of tickets with Virgin Atlantic and want to earn the maximum amount of Flying Club Miles I possibly can. If I was to buy both tickets in 1 transaction, would I get the points for both tickets or will the other person have to register to claim them? I did look on VA website but didn't seem to find anything that will clarify this???
Thanks

It is the passenger, not the payer who gets them.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

So that means that I will get the points for my ticket and the other person flying has to register to claim their points?0

Sign up for their (no annual cost) "White" credit card.
This gets you 3K miles + 2 x per £1 when you buy Virgin Atlantic Tickets.
There are other ways to accumulate miles without flying.
It is a long haul to get any decent miles and then you have to pay taxes on top.0
