Hi All,
A million dollar question I know, but I'm looking to buy a Sony KDL26v4000 LCD Television (a 32" is too big). M&S are a bit cheaper than John Lewis if purchased on line via Quidco; Richer Sounds (with 5 year warranty) are cheaper still, so long as the store has one in stock (they're sold out via internet). Other retailers don't come close when 5-year warranty is taken into account. (At the moment I'm tending towards M&S, since the 5-year warranty is only any good if the retailer is still trading [it's not insurance-backed as far as I am aware]. With the demise of EmpireDirect one starts to get worried .....).
The question is: Any guesses as to whether this tv may drop in price soon? The 32" has seen some great discounts lately. Or is the v4000 about to be discontinued in favour of later (read more expensive) models. Another factor could be the poor value of the £, which would make imports more expensive......
If only things were easy!
Thanks.
Brian
