Any one used a paint sprayer in their home?

Hi!
I'm thinking of buying a paint sprayer pro as my hall needs redecorating and the last time we painted it took ages. i was wondering if anyone has used one of these and if its any good, I need to do ceiling walls and skirtings and anything that makes the job easier would help as i've been putting of painting it for ages! Any info or suggestions would be great, if I could afford it I'd pay someone to come and do it but unfortunately I can't so I thought I could buy something to make the job easier.

Not too sure about this as I imagine it would spary all over the place.

however I will be decorating soon and may consider the new dulex podcast system which is just a machine with a paint tin and a roller attached where you get a constant flow of paint. Still need to be careful around the edges but you save on :-

    - refiling paint tray
    - dipping roller into tray
    - washing roller

Paint is a bit more expensive but I imagine the time saved above will be woth it.

I looked into getting one of those for decorating our house, but I read a lot of reviews and was put off in the end. The paint and consumables are very expensive, you still need to tape all around and do the edges with a brush and the self cleaning feature is very hit and miss, many people commented that you often ended up cleaning the roller by hand.

From what I have read a roller and paint tray still seems the best cost and finish solution. Buy cheap roller heads, rinse then when you have finished for the day and wrap them in clingfilm so they don't dry out and can then be used the next day, when the job is done bin them.

Also water down your emulsion as it goes on much better and gives a better finish, maybe try a 1 in 10 dilution. Dulux paint is the best (IMHO ;) ), you pay a lot more for paints like Farrow and Ball, these give a nice finish, but basically they are already watered down (very thin paint) so get Dulux and do it yourself.

    :D

I was decorating recently. I didn't wash the rollers, just wrapped them in clingfilm and left them. They were fine for well over a week (in a cold room).

I think you should buy decent quality rollers and wash them thoroughly at the end.
