Help With Neg feedback Threat

Hi,
I have made a genuine mistake on the colour of an item I sold on Ebay. Buyer has contacted me and advised that the colour is not as advertised and that although he is happy to keep the item, he does not want to leave me negative feedback.
I have replied saying it's a genuine mistake ( the item is the same price in any colour in nay case) so he can either eturn them to me and i will give ull refund plus his additional postage - told him what to send by. or keep them.
Question - is there anything i can do about the feedback should he submit negative. the thought of this would really annoy me 1

What is the buyer actually wanting / threatening? Maybe he just wants an apology.0

Have you offered him a partial refund? Otherwise you will have lots of hassle and extra postage costs. Don't be too stingy you made a mistake and there is nothing better than a positive feedback which highlights how marvellous you were dealing with the problem! Makes other potential buyers feel more comfortable.0

Just apologise (saying it was a genuine mistake is not the same as apologising...) then offer them a partial refund, say half the item's value?
If they leave a neg, then just calmly reply that you gave 50% refund and they could keep the item.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
