hope somebody can help, am fairly new to ebay
i purchased a pair of ugg boots which were advertised as a uk 10
in fact when they arrived they were an austalian 10, and seemed small, so i checked ugg website, and the conversion is a uk 9.5, i have emailed the seller pointing this out, and asked for a refund
now question is can i expect posting costs refunded too?
also what happens if seller refuses refund, or doesnt reply
thanks for reading

If the seller doesn't reply, you'll have to open up a dispute.
The seller will have to refund you, as well as your initial postage costs, but you will probably have to pay for the return postage, to send them by trackable method.
Perhaps it would work out financially more viable by re-listing them yourself?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
thankyou pinkshoes, i dont think i would get as much by relisting them by myself, as i paid quite a lot for them, as i wanted them so desperatly
will wait few days and see if they reply

I know it doesnt change the fact the uggs werent as described, Uggs do tend to size up small.
most places recommend getting a size smaller, and the ones you have are only half a size smaller. Personally, Id be tempted to wear them for a day or two and they will mould to your feet.0 -
Although I know nothing about Ugg boots I did do some research as a possible Christmas pressie this year and as pullip says the do suggest you get a size smaller.
As these are natural wool the wool will flatten over time and looser to wear. The only trouble of course is that if you wear them you will find it tricky to return them later.0 -
If it was a UK based business seller, they will need to pay your return postage under 'distance selling regulations', otherwise you will probably need to bear the cost.0

I once sold a new item which was defective on arrival. I had no qualms refunding return postage, but many sellers are not so friendly.
A nice negative would be my response if somebody did that to me now that they cant retaliate unfairlyBe nice0 -
Hi,
basicly, even with paypal, you would be expected to foot the return shipping fees- thats the irritating part- especially if the seller bumped up the postal fees.
I have had things arrive and been faulty or wrong, and made a paypal claim, only to be told yes, you can have a refund, but we need you to send back the item...recorded delivery! (even if the seller didn't send it recorded delivery) so that it has a tracking number which paypal need before they will pay anything out to you.0 -

This depends on certain things...see posts 12 & 13 of this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=17639863#post17639863:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

That member is wrong tho on 1 part. A business seller with a BIN purchase has to refund return postage if the item is faulty or described incorrectly, no matter what they have put in their terms...Be nice0
