Sky tv problems

Every time it rains these days my sky tv goes off. Does anyone else have this problem?
I know it can go wrong with the satellite in extreme weather conditions, but to be without tv every time it rains is verging on the ridiculous.
Should I just switch to cable and eliminate the problem, or is there something else I can do?
Any help appreciated.

Does a message appear saying 'No satellite signal is being received' or does the digibox turn itself off?0

I get the no satellite signal being recieved message.0

It might be to do with the dish being a tad out of allignment or it could be the
LNB. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong
I remember last summer we had torrential rain and I lost my signal, but
I have only experienced it once."I may be dead, but I'm still pretty. Which is more than I can say for you."- Buffy (Prophecy Girl)0 -

the bit on the arm of your sky dishWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

So could the LNB be letting water in when it rains?0

Could be
You could get a local tv/satellite company to take a look at it, to let you
know if it's your dish or the LNB."I may be dead, but I'm still pretty. Which is more than I can say for you."- Buffy (Prophecy Girl)0 -
It is almost certainly your dish alignment or a tree that has grown in it's line of sight.
The dish just needs tweaking in all probability.0 -
It could be any one of several things. Read the free information here:

Exactly what happened to me 18 months or so ago and the reason was the LNB letting in water.0
