don't believe a word these caring capitalist american companies are saying. The costs of keeping a largely unproductive worker on the payroll will far outweigh the gains, and what will shareholders have to say about it when a large % of the workforce is over 65 and with the best will in the world unable to be as productive as 35 year old. I'm not being ageist, just realistic.
The 35 year olds who can't get a job because it's being 'blocked' by one or two 70 year olds won't be too thrilled either.
