It really depends on what systems you have in your house. But, the difference is that one of these taps can handle mains pressure (high pressure system), but both can handle low pressure (usually tank fed systems).
Kitchen cold water is always mains pressure, older houses usually have tank fed bathroom cold water, newer houses usually have mains fed bathroom cold water. Your hot water depends on your heating system, hot water tank is usually low pressure & combi boiler is usually high pressure.
This doesn't cover all the variations, just some of the popular ones.
If in doubt go for the taps that can handle both high & low pressure. If you're still unsure, then post again & maybe let us know what kind of systems you have.
