renting a villa dont forget to haggle

Hi All

Its that time of year again when we are all looking for the cheapest holidays, one thing we did last year was try to haggle over the cost of a villas.

I asked the question on MSE last year and was supprised that some people did this.

As long as you are dealing with owner most will normally offer a reduction to their original fee so its worth a try. We did this in Sept last year and save a couple of hundred dollars and in the end got a better house than we were expecting. Every owner we talked to offered a lower price than orginally quoted.

It might not work in all areas but its worth a try.

  • It made me smile reading this...Just now, with the economy as it is, a lot of people haggle for things...why not?! just dont forget that not every economy is as bad as the UKs...not all owners need to haggle as they are making business from other countries at full price!
