Problem with Playfunds.

I think this is the proper place for this post... I hope so anyway lol

I'm just wondering if anyone has bought an item on Play with Playfunds, had the item cancelled and not received the refund?

I bought a dvd on 12th Dec with my Playfunds, Play cancelled it on the 17th, I phoned on 22nd to ask for a refund and they tried to tell me that no transaction took place despite them asking if it was Skins Series 2, which it was, so obviously the transaction took place. Either way, they told me if it happened, it should "fall back in" to my funds so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. No joy. I e-mailed them yesterday morning and despite their "we will reply within 24 hours" promise, I haven't had any word back.

Anyone else had problems with refunds of their Playfunds?

    Are you sure that they actually took funds in the first place? This could be what they mean by "No transaction took place"

  • Yeah, £10.26 left my Playfunds to pay for it. The other £4.73 was paid for by my card which I'm assuming hasn't been charged as the order wasn't dispatched - I won't find out until I receive this month's statement, which should be here in a few days - but the £10.26 was taken from my Playfunds as soon as I ordered the item.

    It's very frustrating as Play doesn't actually list items you buy in your Playfunds transaction history. I bought the Lord of the Rings boxset for £17.99 with my Playfunds as well. Again, the £17.99 was taken from my Playfunds total straight away and the item arrived last week, but it still doesn't appear in my Playfunds transaction history.

    i had this problem before.

    you just need to phone them and explain the situation and they should refund the play funds back to you

    I think you should phone them again, I find the customer service people to be very helpful as a whole.

    I didn't know that about the playfunds transaction history, I haven't been able to use my funds as yet because I am still waiting for the 21 day period to end...frustrating as I have nearly £200 ready to spend...tick tock tick tock....10 days to go lol

  • lol, I didn't know you had to wait 21 days in order to spend the funds on their site :\ I was spending mine a week after signing up, as was my girlfriend. Admittedly, the transfer funds (to bank) link didn't appear until the full 21 days were up.

    lol, I didn't know you had to wait 21 days in order to spend the funds on their site :\ I was spending mine a week after signing up, as was my girlfriend. Admittedly, the transfer funds (to bank) link didn't appear until the full 21 days were up.

    you're not even given the option to spend them until 21 days is up, so you must of been having your card debited, unless they have changed the rules since you started selling.

  • The little box appeared at the checkout. I didn't use it but I know my girlfriend bought a t-shirt for her brother's birthday. I could be mistaken, I just remember her saying to me lol, I was too busy looking out old PS2 games to sell lol

    Hmm, they've changed the rules then, I have no playfunds box yet and I confirmed on the phone with them that I have to wait 21 days before I can even spend them....grrr....
