Redundant twice in a year

Hi
My OH is about to be made redundant for the second time in less than a year. The first time was in Feb 2008 and he received contributions-based JSA for six months before finding work in August.
Could anyone tell me whether he would be entitled to JSA again after such a short period of employment?

Quite possibly - they look back at the past 2 year's contributions to deal with exactly this problem. If he doesn't have enough contributions he may be able to claim a reduced level of JSA.
Even if he can't get contributions-based job seeker's allowance (or not at the full rate) he may be able to claim means-tested JSA. Plus there's tax credits, council tax benefit, etc.
Even if there's no payment due it's worth claiming as they cover the stamp for your state pension!0
