Consumer Protection Association

Anyone heard of / experienced this association?

Are they any different or better than say, the Federation of Master Builders? I have heard of the FMB before but never the CPA until a builder mentioned them to me recently.

"The CPA was established to fulfil two functions: to assist in the elimination of unscrupulous trades from the home improvement market and to protect the consumer by regulating and raising standards of operation."

Whilst the CPA have their own website (www.thecpa.co.uk) and they sound legitimate, from a consumers point of view, I wonder if they are any good at what they say they do.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Regards
