Tesco double points on fuel ?

This morning I saw an advert on Tesco Clubcard main page saying double points on petrol and diesel... but it's not clickable and there's no more information on the ad, see here.

Does anyone know anything about it?
TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

Yes. You get double club card points on all petrol and diesel. No end date been set yet, longish term offer I believe.

Not too sure what other detail you are after?
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure
  • They are currently offering twice as many Clubcard points on petrol and diesel (you get the normal points and then you get the double points bonus on the receipt).

There is no mention of any end date so it appears to be a new "long-term" offer.
  • Not sure what info you'd like on it, but its exactly as it says on the tin. Buy petrol and get double the points. I think they round it up to the nearest pound too, which is nice of them :)

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure if you had to spend a certain amount instore or anything first, and the start/end date.

And Clubcard points are worth what?

I guess you have to spend them at tesco too, which kind of defeats the object of money saving going by the Tesco threads we've seen recently...

Crikey, got you flameproof suit on?

Do some research on what you can use points for. I am currently up to about £920 towards a holiday using clubcard points!

Yeah? How much did you spend to get all those?

That really isnt the point. You are hardly going to spend £100 to get £1 off a holiday but if you do your main shopping there and get points for nothing then you make the most of the deals. I am with davetrousers on this. I paid for my holiday this way last year in this way. Why so cynical?
It makes me cringe when i see people handing over their vouchers at the till. If they done some research they could get 4 times their worth, and yes, get a holiday.

Actually it is. You're not saving much if you had to spend £200k over 6 years to get £900 points are you.

Tesco don't even tend to be the cheapest for petrol. You probably save more going to Shell or something.
