Chip in LCD TV

I'm fuming just noticed a chip in my LCD TV no doubt due to my 2 boys 2 & 3 years old. My question is what can I do about it if anything???

It's not bad enough to claim on the home insurance but noticeable

Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • I assume this is a potato chip and not the silicon variety?
    Does the TV still work?
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Is it a definite chip, i.e. a piece missing, or a deep scratch?
I knocked the vacuum cleaner into ours a couple of weeks ago and kept quiet. OH noticed it the other day and started scratching at it with his fingernail then rubbed it and it disappeared!
    I'm still amazed.

Well I cant see how any help can be offered. Its damaged, so unless you have a good home insurance you want to buy a new tv then I guess you are stuck with it as it wont come under warranty of SOGA

I doubt a repair would help it but no harm in asking manufacturer but I dare say it wont be cheap

Just a thought: Would a windscreen chip repair kit work?
