Hi all,
I recently tried to sell a lovely cutlery set I got as a wedding present (don't judge, it was a duplicate!)
However sadly it has one watcher but never sold.
In your experience, would it be best to relist straight away at a cheaper price or wait a while and relist again at the smae price (or any other suggestions welcome??)
Thanks!

I'd wait a while. People don't tend to buy as much from ebay this time of year.
Have you tried looking at similar items to see how much they sold for and at what starting price they used?0 -
If it was me I would relist it in about 4 weeks.0

No; February can be very dead I would leave it a bit longer. The only caveat is:- this year we might all be poverty stricken by March.
Just a thought why not wait until wedding season kicks off in the spring April/May?0 -
Hi all,
Thank you for your thoughts. I think Hintza's advice is good. Wait till wedding season and hope that BECAUSE of the credit crunch people will look on e-bay for wedding gifts!!
Thank you :TJoint debt - £25,090

If it was a duplicate, is it not possible to return it to the shop it was bought from, and exchange it for something else? You could phone the shop up and enquire, as the worst they can say is no.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I would do as has already been suggested and check out completed listings, this might not be an item that sells well on ebay at all and you may ened to find a different market.
To answer the actual question though, I would not bother relisting for a while if I only had one watcher.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
