Changed jobs this month - any chance of a new CC?

I had been moving my 0% balances onto new deals before Xmas while dh was still in his current job - missed the boat with Barclaycard and now need to find a new deal for £5k.

But he's now in his new job - for a week!

We have a joint income of £80k and we've never been out of employment. Good credit history and never had probs getting cards before.

Do the CC companies look further than how long you've been in your current job?

Should we just ride out the £5k and pay interest and pay it off as quickly as poss?
