Yeah I did the same in Woolies before they shut and picked up alot, most people were just picking up individual ones but if they had random birthday cards suitable for anyone I just picked up the whole pile.:j
I usually buy my birthday cards from Tesco, the cheap ones and they are fine if I have none in the house, they were just in the card section in a value section I think. Some of the card shops do good deals like 4 for a pound and I got branded ones like Hannah Montana, they normally cost nearly 2 quid elsewhere. I do grudge paying alot for cards. Sometimes you get odd cheap ones in the Next Clearance as well, for 50p each but not seen any lately.0 -
Spotted lots of cards in our new Home Bargains in Rutherglen today as well, they were only 29p each so if you have a store nearby would be worth a look. Really nice store, will definitely be back for a look.0

Like a few others here, I go to The Card Factory.
Never go near Clintons, Whsmith, etc as they are too expensive.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £10,153.440 -
I pick up cards for my kids to give to their friends, 29p from Home Bargains, quality is ok for the price!
!
Sorry, just seen its already been posted about Home Bargains...0 -
I use a local card shop together with The Card Factory (great 10 for £1 deal for cards that DDs can give to friends) or Wilkinsons for cheap cards.0

In the shop 'The Works' they were selling a large box of 'handmade' cards and the cards worked out about 20 pence each. I have bought them before and they are quite good quality.0
