Any idea how much double glazing should cost..any recommendations?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of having wooden double glazed sash windows fitted to replace the existing sash windows which have become rotten. Any idea how much it should cost (including fitting in London) for 2 windows, approx 120cm wide x 180 cm high, with good security features. Am going to start getting quotes but want to know what a realistic one should be before I start haggling...any recommendations for companies to go with?

Cheers for your help!

  • Try Ventrolla as they might be able to refurbish your existing windows. They also have a system of draught proofing sash windows. If you are in a Conservation Area or the house is a Listed Building then you might need permission from the council to change the original windows. I would check first.

Go to a local company rather than the heavily advertised national ones. They will almost certainly be cheaper.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
