Childrens clothes reductions in Woolies (merged)

Went into my local Woolworths yesterday and noticed they had girls summer school dresses reduced from £5.99 to £2 in various colours and sizes.
Picked up the only two in her size and took them to the till. It was only when the second one was put through that I noticed they were only £1 each!
Official Insert:
While Woolworths has said its normal price for summer school dresses is £6.50 and there's no nationwide offer on, it's worth keeping an eye out if your in your local store anyway. You never know!

Some of you may have seen that Woolworths are selling off a lot of school uniform at half price at the moment - it's quite cheap and not bad quality. I think you can get school shirts for about £3 for a pack of two.
Well..... I was walking out of Woolies this morning and I overheard the manager say to a colleague .. Oh it's next week when this (the school uniform) is being reduced to half its current price!! ....
So that would be an even greater bargain, and I thought "must post on MSE right away".
Hope its a bargain for someone ...0 -
Thanks for the post,
I specially like the dresses with hair bubble, off to woolies

Someone mentioned that school uniform in Woolies was going to be half price this week. Has anyone been in and found out whether things have been reduced yet and what the prices are like?
Thanks for any help0 -
Noticed today in the Woolworths in Oldham that there is a sale on. Not sure if this is nationwide but it is across the board uniforms, leisure, etc.

Bought three lemon & white school dresses for £1.50 also, today the matching socks for the school dresses were priced at £3.99 but scanned for £1.

Went to Woolies in Sutton Coldfield last Friday and they had half price sale on boys school trousers and the girls summer checked dresses. They come in blue and white, green and white, yellow and whte and red and white. They were marked at £6.50 and they went through the till at £3.25 bargain, got one for next year. Also got my son a pair of trousers grey with pocket on side for £4 instead of £8, half marked price. They had stickers on saying half price.0

No fair, this offer doesn't seem to be available in my local woolies(Peterborough), I've been in 2xs since seeing this thread & neither time is anything reduced & the staff arent giving anything away as to whether it will be, they just say the sale on school clothes has ended. they are on buy one get 2nd half price.
Good spot for those who can grab it though
Hugs

The school dresses and socks weren't marked reduced you need to ask a checkout assistant to scan them to check the price.0
