I've got a couple of radiators that are cold at the top which I know need bleeding. I did read about how to bleed them, it said about checking the pressure which I did & it's on 0 (not great!) so I haven't bleed the radiators but need to top up the system. I have a Vaillant combi system, I found out that I don't live far from vaillant head office so I called in there to pick up the manuals for the boiler as I didn't have them. They also told me how to fill up the system again, they said the there was a silvery pipe that there was a tap to turn to fill up the system, I have found the silvery pipe & the tap, but the silver pipe is not connected to anything there is a blanking plate next to the tap there is also another blanking plate a bit lower down.
Is it still possible to refill the system ourselves or do we need to call someone in? If we did need to call someone in how much is it likely to be?
