i swear some ebayers must think that you are either phschic or born yesterday
i sold a pushchair 280296585453
ended 2nd jan they paid 3rd jan was sent via courier mon 5th jan
after winning the buyer sent me a message asking me to help them find a raincover and a matching car seat so like a mug wanting to help i got straight onto ebay and found 2 matching car seats and a raincover and replied with links and item numbers for them
i then as i always do after selling something checked the item over and stripped down ready for packaging it was sent in two packages
i took the front and back wheels off
put the front wheels into a carrier bag then placed them inside the frame and bubble wrapped the frame twice
then put the back wheels inside the carry cot and again bubble wrapped completly twice
i checked online to see that it had been delivered on 6th jan at 2pm
thought everything was ok but nooooooooooooooooooooo
upon checking my feedback tonight i see a big fat yes u all guessed it
one of the wheels is broken and wont stay on unless its in the fixed positionBuyer: sazandmax2004 ( 281

now i know ebay will not get invoved they never do but is there anything i can do i have sent them a polite message to ask why there was no contact and i know the pushchair was in 100% working order when sent i understand things can get broke in transit but if i spent over £100 on a pushcair and it had a broken wheel one of the main parts i would be straight onto the courier
i have had this once before with an expensive pushchair that someone brought took on holiday then tried to say it was broken when they opened it i called there bluff and never heard nothing back
WHY WHY WHY AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH:mad:

It's possible that you damaged the wheels when removing them, hence one id broken when they reassembled it on arrival. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and claim a refund, and if they do you can pretty much kiss you money goodbye. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

UPDATE:
I have just phoned the buyer up
who has said that it is the 2 clips on the actual frame that the wheel attatches to
i asked them why they felt the need to leave negative before and without any contact with me and they said because it was broken
i have asked them to send me a photo so just waiting on that now
they said they would like to keep the pushchair and that thay are going to phone mamas and papas tommorow and let me know what they say but i think it will be a new frame jobby
they said that the packaging was not damaged as far as they can remember and remenbered that there was fragile stickers on the parcel
they also said that it was not signed for by them but by next door and they wish the couriers would not do so as they have not long moved in and dont know them
they said that they did not actualy unpackage untill last night when they found the damage
still do not understand why they did not contact me to say it was damaged??????0 -

Yeah I do not leave negative feedback unless I have tried contacting the seller first, as you went out of your way for them, you would think they would at least contact you first. If they want to keep a broken wheelchair then the problem isn't as bad as they made out or they got a good deal.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Why do they want to keep it if it's broken?0
-
as long as they didnt already have a broken pushchair that might be winging its way back to you in a guise that it is the said pushchair that you sent. But dont try to listen to me, i lost faith in ebay and the people using it along time ago...Just seems strange that they want to keep it unless they got a bargain and it can be fixed.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0
-
Personally I'd leave it be and just cut your losses.
I would of left a slightly more factual follow-up personally, but if overall you have good history I wouldn't worry about it. If it's a relatively new account you can just register another and start a fresh.
Yes its a blow, especially after all the work you put in, but it's really not worth getting het up about. We got our first negative from 2500+ sales the other week, some numpty asked for a refund 3 days after sending (airmail), explained it had already been sent but they could return it, on receipt a neg 'wanted refund, but sent anyway'. What can you do????......0 -
You will always get people that are never happy no matter what you do. I have decided I will not sell on ebay anymore because you get sick of some of the people.
On another subject ebay is more expensive on things that were used. Kitchen scales £30 new, on sale for £35-£45 on ebay used. It is a joke now!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

If someone has negative feedback, I always see what it was, and look at the reply. If either were written in capital letters, I ignore it, as capital letters is shouting and the sign of a nutter!!
Hence for future reference, when you write a follow up, you should perhaps write calmly without using capitals and excess question marks.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 - Reply by tondeur527 (07-Jan-09 20:32):

Agree with pinkshoes, when you see the CAPITAL letter replies to negs always looks like the seller is trying to cover their tracks especially when the have had similar negs in their feedback. In these cases I always side with the poor buyer who's been had and rarely believe the replies unless they seem genuine. Plus the little dig in his feedback for the buyer always puts me off.
Like zenseeker suggested the lugs have probably been broken when they were taken off by the seller, those things aren't meant to be taken on and off and are usually just plastic lugs holding everything in place and easily damagedWins: pink kids laptop0 -
as mentioned on another thread, we have had a few similar situations over xmas and new year.
rather than send an email to say theres a problem, buyers just leaving negative feedback and then not checking there email ever again. a lot of the problems being that the buyer did not read the description in the first place.
we are due to add a note to all listings asking that buyers keep an eye on their email accounts after ordering so we can contact them.
frustrating because on play only about 10% of our customers bother to leave feedback, so people using negative as a way of contacting us has quite an impact.:grouphug:
no wonder he has a smile on his face...0
